The Importance of Adjusting the Rotary Kiln Support Roller

At present, the rotary kiln of many cement plants has caused many major equipment accidents due to improper adjustment of the support rollers, as the rotary kiln body falls off the support roller, the kiln tire damages the retaining iron, there is violent vibration of the rotary kiln, pitting corrosion on the surface of the support roller and tire, etc. In severe cases, it will also cause the bearing bush burning and shaft breaking accident of support roller.
There are three main points for the purpose and significance of adjusting the kiln support roller:
1. The kiln body can normally move up and down along the axial direction according to the required law, so as to ensure the uniform wear of the outer surface of the supporting roller and the kiln tire.
2. Keep the middle line of the rotary kiln cylinder in a straight line in the hot state, so that the support rollers and the kiln tire are evenly stressed, no overload phenomenon occurs, and power consumption is reduced.
3. The support rollers of each gear can bear the load of the kiln body in a balanced manner, so as to ensure that no additional stress is generated, and to reduce or avoid the premature damage of the machine parts. If the above purpose is achieved by adjusting the support roller, it is necessary to conduct in-depth theoretical research and master the method.
