Rotary kiln tyre- riding ring of kiln

The rotary kiln tyre is also called the riding ring, and its function is to transfer all the gravity of the cylinder, including the gravity of the firebrick, the internal device and the material, to the support roller, and make the cylinder turn steadily on the support roller, so the kiln riding ring should have enough strength and durability. At the same time, the riding ring is also a component that strengthens the radial stiffness of the cylinder, and it should have enough rigidity.
There are several shapes of the cross section of the rotary kiln:
1. Rotary kiln rectangular riding ring
Its section is solid rectangle, its shape is simple and its manufacturing quality is easy to guarantee. Its general service life is longer than that of box - shaped riding ring. But its stiffness is relatively small, the material is not used reasonably and the heat dissipation is poor.
2. Rotary kiln box-shaped riding ring
The section is hollow box shaped, with good thermal condition and rigidity, and the material utilization is difficult to be used reasonably. The integrated structure of the riding ring and the cylinder body can avoid the "necking temperature stress" between them. Moreover, the riding ring can give full play to the reinforcement of the cylinder and make the material of the riding ring reasonably utilized, simplify the manufacture and installation work, and facilitate the operation.
