Slag pot is an important equipment for steelmaking in metallurgical industry, and is a container for high-temperature slag produced in the process of iron and steel smelting.

Standard for slag pot acceptance:

1. New slag pots should have strict acceptance criteria, test report and flaw detection report, For the new slag pot, if cracks, sand holes, and interlayer appear, return it to factory for repair.

 

2. There are at least 2 spare slag pots on site (a new pot or a good slag pot after overhaul), scrap of slag pot and usage of new slag pot are required to be approved by the Technical Group.

 

3. There is no such slag pots whose bottoms are repaired several times. The surface of the new slag pot is smooth, flat, and no chromatic aberration, nointerlayer, no second-time-casted seam and second-time-welded seams.

 

4. On-site maintenance, return-to-factory overhaul and scrap standards must be perfect.
